SAGA DAWA
It is a famous Buddhist festival celebrated in a beautiful manner in Gangtok. People visits the monasteries to offer worship. Butter lamps are also offered. The entire scene look spectacular when the monks in a huge procession take a look of the city carrying holy scriptures.
PHANG LHABSOL
A colorful festival celebrated in the honour of Mount Khangchendzonga, the guardian deity of Sikkim and to Yabdu, the supreme commander. The Lepcha believe that the moutain is the place of their origin.
DASAIN
This festival is celebrated in the month of September-October. This festival holds special significance for Both Hindus and Nepalis as it stands for the triumph of good over evil.
